HealthyToys.org Lead-Check Widget

The Challenge

During the HealthyToys.org (generation two) project, the Ecology Center staff asked for a lead-check widget that could be embedded into web sites, blogs, and wikis. The widget needed to be small, fast, interactive with the HealthyToys.org database, and easy to use and embed. They asked Mouko to create this widget as part of the generation two web site redesign/refresh.

The Solution

Mouko used Adobe Flash technology to build the lead-check widget along with an agile development process that involved frequent iterations based on Ecology Center staff feedback and input. The process took approximately one week from design through development and deployment.

The Result

The widget was posted to the ClearSpring ® widget web site for deployment and tracking. Statistics from that site show that the widget has been downloaded hundreds of times, and feedback from users indicate that it’s one of the more popular features of the new HealthyToys.org web site.
